The Ozark Housing Community - Winter Edition 2025

Well, the snow is in the past, and spring is in the air! By the time you receive this newsletter, the time has moved forward an hour. The weather is warm, and it's a great time to go outdoors and enjoy the warm temperatures.

Dale County Lake is a great place to walk the nature trails, fish (with a license), have a picnic, or sit and enjoy the lake. If you love to read, the lake is a great place to take a blanket and read a book. It also has a few bicycle trails. If you're a Geocacher, there are a few geocaches at the lake. Some are in the woods, so be mindful of wildlife. Yoga classes are also held at the lake on some Saturdays at 9:00 AM.

This year, the Crawdad and Music Festival is on April 5th. Whether you're new to the area or have not attended, there will be music, food, and fun.

Another community resource is the Dale County Library. Basic Computer classes are held on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM. If you want to pick up a knitting hobby, the Twisted Stitches class is also available on Saturdays.

A Few Reminders

Public Housing: The following are considered after-hours emergencies only: gas leaks, broken water pipes, fire, no heat (winter only), refrigerator not cooling, smoke alarm malfunction, electrical short, and clogged toilet (if only one bathroom). The after-hours emergency number is 1.866.685.3113. All other work orders should be called into the office Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Any income changes must be reported within 10 days (including the HCV program). Please ensure you have all the required documents when you have an appointment. A packet is mailed before your appointment. If you do not have ALL your paperwork, your lease will not be renewed.

Also, please report any hardship to the office. We are here to assist families through difficult times.
