The Ozark Housing Community is committed to providing quality affordable housing and services in an efficient and creative manner.

Ozark Housing Community (OHC) provides public housing in Ozark and Ariton and Section 8 Vouchers in Dale County. We provide decent, safe, affordable rental housing within the OHC area for eligible low to moderate income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Our objective is to offer individuals and families the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing by promoting personal, and economic upward mobility, and to improve communities by encouraging self-sufficiency for clients.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers Federal aid to local housing agencies that manage the housing. Visit our Public Housing page to learn more about OHC programs. As part of the Housing Choice Voucher program, participants are able to find their own housing that meets the requirements of the program and is not limited to units located in subsidized housing projects.
